Uefa, the governing body of European football, has completed its sponsorship line-up for the qualifying campaign for the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia by agreeing a partnership with fastening materials manufacturer Würth.
The company becomes the seventh and final sponsor of the European Qualifiers, which began last week.
As part of the deal, Würth will receive pitchside advertising exposure during games. The company will also benefit from a host of promotional rights.
Guy-Laurent Epstein, marketing director of Uefa Events SA, said: “As an established football brand in Europe and especially Germany, this partnership further underlines the strength of the European qualifiers sponsorship programme which, with Würth on board, is now complete.”
Würth joins Carlsberg, Continental, Hisense, Konami, Socar and Turkish Airlines as an official sponsor of the European qualifiers, with Adidas serving as the official ball supplier.
