The organising committee for the 2017 summer Universiade in Taipei has agreed sponsorship deals with China Airlines and EVA Airways.
Under the agreements, the Taiwanese operators will offer discounted ticket prices for tournament delegates and officials from the International University Sports Federation (Fisu), which organises summer and winter Universiades for student-athletes.
The organising committee has been discussing details of ticket discounts with the two airlines for a number of months, with the aim of providing a premium service for delegates and officials travelling to Taipei for the event.
The event, which will mark the 29th summer Universiade, will take place from August 19-30.
