Ukrainian Premier League football club Shakhtar Donetsk has extended its kit partnership with US sportswear giant Nike.
The two parties’ agreement will run for a further four years, until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
As part of the deal, Nike will provide Shakhtar’s playing kits, and also supply the club with its latest range of boots. In addition, Nike will continue to support Shakhtar’s social and youth-based projects.
Sergei Palkin, chief executive of Shakhtar Donetsk, said: “We have already seen that the Nike technology allows our players to achieve better results, and the openness of the company towards social initiatives is helping us raise our new stellar generation, developing youth football in Ukraine.”
Nike first teamed up with Shakhtar in 2008.
