Financial institution Qatar National Bank has secured title sponsorship rights for the top division of club football in Indonesia, the Indonesian Super League.
ISL organiser Liga Indonesia and its commercial partner BVSports agreed a three-year deal with QNB, running from the recently launched 2015 campaign until the end of the 2017 season.
The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. It will result in the competition being rebranded as the QNB League.
BVSports president Hari Widodo said: “This is a historic step for Indonesian soccer. Support from the QNB Group for three seasons will help the league to develop. QNB is an international banking brand with a proven track record in soccer.”
QNB is a major partner of French Ligue 1 champion Paris Saint-Germain. Its current three-year deal with PSG grants it branding space on the club’s shirt sleeves through to the end of the 2015-16 season.
