Qatar Airways has renewed its shirt sponsorship deal with Saudi Professional League football club Al-Ahli.
The new three-year deal will see Qatar Airways continue to serve as the Jeddah-based club’s main commercial partner until 2020.
The deal was signed yesterday (Monday) ahead of Al-Ahli’s 2-0 victory over Iranian team Zob Ahan in the AFC Champions League.
Al-Ahli won the Saudi Professional League title in 2015-16 but finished second to Al-Hilal in 2016-17. The season concluded at the weekend.
The agreement comes after Qatar Airways on Sunday signed a deal with Fifa to serve as a top-tier official partner and the official airline of football’s global governing body until 2022.
Qatar Airways first partnered with Al-Ahli in 2014.
