Tribune Broadcasting’s New York television channel PIX11 has agreed a multi-year marketing partnership that covers NBA basketball team the Brooklyn Nets, NHL ice hockey franchise the New York Islanders, and the teams’ Barclays Center home.
Under the deal, PIX11 will establish an in-arena studio at the Barclays Center to serve as its Brooklyn broadcasting hub.
PIX11 will benefit from an extensive branding presence at all Nets and Islanders home games, including at the Barclays Center’s signature Oculus outside the arena. Along with serving as a presenting partner of BCTV – the Barclays Center’s in-arena and online video network – PIX11 will back the Brooklyn Nets Assist community outreach programme.
Brett Yormark, chief executive of the Barclays Center and the Nets, said: “We are thrilled to partner with PIX11 to offer unprecedented access and engaging initiatives to interact with the New York audience like never before. We are also proud to host a state-of-the-art Brooklyn-based news studio and are looking forward to having PIX11 as a daily fixture at Barclays Center.”
