The organising committee for the 2018 Asian Games has agreed sponsorship deals with a host of companies ahead of next year's event, which will be held in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.

The Netral News website said that the total value of the nine sponsorship deals is $57m (€48.3m).
Erick Thohir, chairman of the Games’ organising committee, said: “The targets that we want to achieve in the Asian Games is for the 'branding' of Indonesia in the international front to bring economic impacts and investments in the future.”
Adding that organisers are keen to seal further deals ahead of the Games, Thohir said: “I expect those who want to work with us to contact us directly. We will support and we will continue to look for sponsors because the more the better.”
Next year’s Games will run from August 18 to September 2.
