Payment services company MasterCard will sponsor the 2015 Copa America after reaching an agreement with Wematch, the commercial rights holder for the Latin American national team football tournament.
MasterCard will serve as the official card and preferred payment method for the 2015 Copa America – the 10th consecutive edition of the tournament it has been associated with.
Global rights to use the tournament name and brand in marketing campaigns are included in the sponsorship, along with exclusive tickets and experiences for promotional offers targeted to MasterCard cardholders.
Additionally, MasterCard holds the rights for the Copa America Trophy Tour, which will travel through host nation Chile and other Latin American countries.
The 2015 Copa America takes place between June 11 and July 4 next year.
