Israeli Premier League football club Maccabi Tel Aviv has secured a partnership with PenguinPickUp, a network of pick-up locations for online purchases.
The deal will cover three seasons, from 2018-19 to 2020-21. Under the agreement, as main sponsor the company’s logo will appear on the first team and academy team’s shirts.
The training ground at Kiryat Shalom will also be named PenguinPickUp Training Ground, in addition to digital and in-stadium branding exposure.
PenguinPickUp was launched four years ago in Canada, but has plans to expand internationally.
Egil Moller Nielsen, senior vice-president and head of business at PenguinPickUp, said: “We believe the opportunity is not simply to augment online shopping, but to grow an exciting business around it.”
