The organising committee for the 2019 winter Universiade in the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk has agreed sponsorship deals with sports equipment manufacturer Forward, soft drinks company Coca-Cola and financial services company Sberbank.
Forward will supply official jackets, sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, scarves and mittens during the multi-sport event, which is scheduled to run from March 2-12, 2019.
Forward will serve as the supplier of equipment for participants, volunteers and members of the organising committee during the Universiade.
The Russian division of Coca-Cola has agreed to invest around 65 million rubles (€853,000/$1.06m) into the event. Coca-Cola will serve as the event’s official supplier of soft drinks. Athletes will receive access to Coca-Cola-made water and sports drinks at competition venues.
Sberbank, meanwhile, has been named as the official bank of Krasnoyarsk 2019. The company will have a presence at the athletes’ village during the event, with bank terminals to be set up for participants to use. Sberbank will also distribute Krasnoyarsk 2019-branded cards and coins.
More than 3,000 student athletes are set to compete at Krasnoyarsk 2019.
