The golf clothing brand, Glenmuir, has been selected as an official licensee for the 2016 and 2018 Ryder Cup matches.
As part of the deal, Glenmuir will design, market and sell official tournament merchandise at next year’s event in Minnesota, US, and then in 2018 on the outskirts of Paris in France, which will host the competition for the first time.
Mikhel Ruia, managing director at Glenmuir, said: “Glenmuir is one of the last remaining truly Scottish golf clothing brands with our rich 125-year golfing heritage. To be selected as official licensee, having been involved in the Ryder Cup merchandise programme since 1987, marks this partnership as one of the longest standing in the world of professional sport.”
Glenmuir has provided attire for Europe’s Ryder Cup teams for 28 years.
