Men’s shaving and toiletries brand Gillette has announced a two-year extension of its decade-long partnership with the English Rugby Football League.
Gillette will continue as the main sponsor of the England rugby league team for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup, when its branding will feature on the national team’s playing kit.
Additionally, Gillette will make a significant investment in coaching at grassroots level in the UK as the RFL looks to capitalise on the increased exposure its sport will enjoy during a home World Cup.
The coaching programme aims to increase the number of quality 12-16 year-old rugby league players in the country through the education and training of 120 specialist children’s coaches, with Gillette’s commitment standing as part of the RFL’s Great Start Programme.
Gillette’s partnership with the RFL began in 2003.
