Ghana FA receives uniBank boost

Ghanaian-owned private bank uniBank has signed a three-year deal to sponsor the country’s national football team.

Over the course of the sponsorship the Ghana Football Association will receive $1.2m (€882,000) from uniBank, which becomes the official bank of the senior Ghana men’s national team.

The ‘Black Stars’ brand will be used by uniBank and the company will offer dedicated packages to members of the team.

The GFA has granted uniBank gold sponsor status among its commercial roster.

Ghana is on the verge of qualification for the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil after claiming a 6-1 victory over Egypt in the first-leg of a qualification play-off last month.
