German Volleyball Federation secures new main sponsor

The German Volleyball Federation (DVV) national governing body has entered into a new sponsorship deal with domestic health food company Layenberger Nutrition Group.

The deal will run for four years, from 2014 until 2017.

Under the agreement, Layenberger will become the governing body’s main sponsor and will benefit from branding placement on the front of all Germany national team jerseys.

Layenberger has an existing relationship with the DVV, with branding of its LowCarb.one product having appeared on the front of players’ jerseys during the World Volleyball Federation’s 2014 World Championship national team event. LowCarb.one was present on players’ jerseys in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.

DVV president Thomas Krohne said: “The partnership with Layenberger shows that we are becoming increasingly attractive for the economy, because we have an excellent product with great, authentic athletes who are successful.”
