US financial services corporation PNC Bank has signed a multi-year extension to its partnership with Major League Baseball franchise the Cincinnati Reds.
Under the agreement, PNC will remain the official bank, financial advisor, trust and mortgage banker, investment management and brokerage service provider of the Reds until the end of the 2022 season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
PNC will title sponsor the induction of former player Pete Rose into the Reds Hall of Fame from June 24-26. The corporation will be granted greater exposure through signage at the Reds’ Great America Ball Park (GABP), where eight PNC ATMs will also be installed.
A Reds-branded PNC debit card will be offered to fans, providing such loyalty rewards as discounted tickets, reduced museum admission and offers on products at the Reds team shop.
In addition, PNC will sponsor a Reds event that will celebrate 150 years of professional baseball in Cincinnati in 2019, a new fan-written blog on Reds.com and a leadership summit at GABP. It will also remain a sponsor of the Redsfest winter warm-up event and title sponsor of the E-Waste Recycling Drives initiative, as well as continue to provide support for community-based and grassroots schemes.
“Our shared goals are to enhance the customer experience of both organisations and foster economic development through increased fan participation,” Kay Geiger, PNC regional president for Greater Cincinnati, said.
PNC first partnered the Reds in 2000.
