Finnish digital locking company iLoq has agreed a partnership with the Champions Hockey League, the pan-European ice hockey club competition.
Through the four-year partnership, iLoq will become the official presenter of the CHL app and will be afforded wider exposure across the 14 European nations covered by the league.
As part of the deal, iLoq will provide fans with access to pre-game locker room streaming for selected games, as well as digital player cards that can be unlocked. Clubs will also offer hospitality for key clients from iLoq.
Heikki Hiltunen, president and chief executive of iLoq, said: “We are executing our growth strategy and expanding our business to new markets and segments in Europe. The CHL offers outstanding exposure to the iLoq brand across many of our key sales areas, from central to northern Europe, which all hold strong affiliations to hockey.
“We are excited to join forces with CHL and help spread the word about iLoq to a wider audience. iLoq and CHL are a perfect match since we both place great emphasis on ambition, teamwork and innovation – which after all are the cornerstones of a team’s success.”
Martin Baumann, chief executive of the CHL, added: “Digital is a vital part of how we want to take the CHL forward, and with iLoq’s reputation as being leaders in the industry it underlines our intentions.”
The deal was brokered by the Infront agency.
