The British Gymnastics governing body has agreed a new kit partnership with independent leotard company, Quatro Gymnastics.
Terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed, but it will commence on January 1, positioning Quatro as the official leotard supplier for gymnasts when they compete for British Gymnastics, representing Great Britain.
Quatro is a relative newcomer to the gymnastics apparel market. It was launched in 2011 by Joanna Vazquez, a former British international gymnast.
Vazquez, Quatro founder and managing director, said: “We built the Quatro brand to be synonymous with a sport that is constantly improving and breaking new ground. We continually look for ways to provide athletes with the very best in a garment’s form and function and our dedication to design means that our gymnasts are noticed when they take centre stage. Our partnership with British Gymnastics is not only a chance to reach a wider audience but will be a huge opportunity to listen and learn from a brilliant team too.”
The agreement comes on the back of a successful 2016 summer Olympic Games for British Gymnastics. Great Britain finished third in the gymnastics medal table, behind only the United States and Russia, claiming two golds and seven medals in total.
