Cable manufacturer BRB has been named title sponsor of the Bangladesh Premier League for the return of the Twenty20 competition later this month.
The third edition of the Twenty20 league, which begins on November 22 and runs through to December 15, will officially be named the BRB 3rd BPL 2015.
BRB group director Mizber Rahman said: “The attachment of the whole nation to cricket is much praised around the world. We respect this love and attachment of the people and to take this forward, we have decided to get associated with BPL.”
The BPL was first staged in 2012 and returns for its third edition after a one-year hiatus in 2014.
Meanwhile, the Pran Up brand of soft drinks has been named title sponsor of the upcoming Zimbabwe-Bangladesh series. The company has in the past sponsored the Bangladeshi jerseys.
“We are proud of the fact that only Bangladeshi companies are coming forward and taking up the sponsorship rights of the international series,” Jalal Yunus, media committee chairman and member of the Bangladesh Cricket Board, said.
The series begins on Saturday at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka. It consists of three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 games.
