Sportswear manufacturer BLK has agreed a three-year deal with South African Super Rugby franchise Southern Kings.
The partnership is for three years, beginning in 2016 when the Kings return to the club rugby union competition. Super Rugby currently features teams from South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, but the Southern Kings will be joined next year by new franchises in Argentina and Japan.
Along with supplying kits to Port Elizabeth-based Southern Kings and its affiliated teams, BLK will launch a range of replica Kings apparel for fans.
BLK has said 90 per cent of the kit supplied to Southern Kings will be manufactured in its three carbon-neutral factories in Cape Town.
BLK South Africa director William Hughes said: “We recognised the huge potential and talent that exists across the Eastern Cape region and we are excited to be part of this new chapter.”
