German orthopaedic aids manufacturer Bauerfeind will serve as the therapeutic braces and supports supplier for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
Along with providing therapeutic braces at the Games, Bauerfeind will supply specialised products for the treatment of injuries including supports, orthoses, compression stockings and insoles.
In total it is set to provide 20 different products, adding up to 2,000 items that will be customisable to take into account the size and anatomical features of each athlete thanks to Bauerfeind’s measurement process – developed by the company’s own specialists alongside doctors and physiotherapists.
The deal continues Bauerfeind’s relationship with the Olympic movement after it supplied orthopaedic aids to both the Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 Olympic Games.
