Spanish LaLiga football club Barcelona has confirmed the renewal of its partnership with Thai beer brand Chang.
Chang will remain the Catalan club’s regional partner in Thailand for the next three years, as well as 10 other Southeast Asian countries including Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, the Philippines and East Timor.
The agreement grants Chang image, association and promotion rights and access to corporate hospitality facilities. The contract is in the category of official beer, water and soda.
“FC Barcelona has a strong regional presence with fans that cheer and give support throughout every football season,” Prapakon Thongtheppairot, senior vice-president of Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, which represented Chang at the event to announce the renewal, said. “The agreement further solidifies the friendship between Chang and Barcelona.”
Barcelona first announced the deal in August, but the agreement was formally signed at a ceremony in Bangkok today (Wednesday).
