Saudi Professional League football club Al Nassr has agreed a sponsorship deal with Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad Airways.
Terms of the multi-year agreement were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that Etihad will become the team’s main sponsor and receive branding placement on the front of players’ shirts.
Etihad will also work with the club on brand partnerships, marketing, customer and loyalty initiatives, social media outreach, in-flight programming and travel trade support.
Tony Douglas, group chief executive of the Etihad Aviation Group, said: “This agreement signals the start of an exciting new partnership between Al Nassr, one of Saudi Arabia’s best-known football clubs, and Etihad Airways. We look forward to our teams working together to promote the two brands in our home markets, as well as across the region.”
The airline also serves as the main shirt sponsor of English Premier League club Manchester City.
