Egyptian Premier League top-tier football club Al Ahly has reportedly signed a record sponsorship deal with Saudi Arabian electronic trading systems firm Sela Trading Company.
According to the Al Ahram newspaper, the agreement will run for three years, from the 2015-16 season through to the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
The deal is said to be worth $30m (€27.1m), a record for Egyptian football. The agreement is also worth over $10m more than the club’s existing deal with UAE-based telecommunications firm Etisalat.
Al Ahly currently sits second in the 2014-15 Egyptian Premier League.
