Greek Super League football club AEK Athens has entered into a partnership with US sports clothing and equipment manufacturer Capelli Sport.
The length of the agreement was not disclosed but the deal is effective from July 1. Capelli Sport will provide AEK’s kit as part of the deal.
The club did not reveal financial terms of the partnership but Minas Lysandrou, AEK’s vice-president and managing director, said Capelli Sport will become one of the club’s “key strategic partners” at a commercial level. Lysandrou added that AEK, which previously held a deal with Nike, was “very pleased” with the terms of the agreement.
George Altirs, founder and managing director of Capelli Sport, said: “AEK is an internationally recognised football club with great historical heritage and enthusiastic fans. We invest in cooperation with AEK in order to jointly develop the dynamics of our products both in Greece and in Europe.”
