Vodafone keeps fans singing in the rain

MOBILE PHONE company Vodafone has unveiled a prototype umbrella that will charge users' mobile phones and boost their 3G signal. The festival-themed gadget will be unfurled at the Isle of Wight Festival but could appear at sporting events throughout the summer too. It represents a departure for Vodafone, as green-tech festival gimmicks previously been the preserve of rival mobile company Orange.
