UK OfT accuses Olympic athletes of illegal trading via Twitter

GIVE ANYONE a present and they’re sure to tell their friends. Historically they might have mentioned it in a letter or phone call but nowadays they are more likely to share the love via Facebook or Twitter, which is one step too far for UK trading standards regulator the Office of Fair Trading (OfT). This August, the body has warned Britain’s Olympic athletes that they must stop giving unauthorised plugs for their sponsors on Twitter.
