Ryder Cup sponsorship revenue has increased 48 per cent compared with the previous edition in 2021, according to SportBusiness Sponsorship's 2023 Golf Data Snapshot.

Central sponsors of the PGA Tour and the four golf majors – The Masters, Open Championship, PGA Championship and US Open – held sponsorship portfolios worth $487m (€420m) in 2021, up almost 6.5 per cent on 2020.

Carmaker Mercedes-Benz, watchmaker Rolex and IT company IBM are the most prolific sponsors among the brands that sponsor golf’s four major tournaments. Each has a deal with more than one Major. The 21 main sponsorship positions across the four tournaments are taken up by 16 different brands.
