AFTER THE MEDIA pack moves on to fresher meat, the bones of the Lance Armstrong doping scandal will be picked over for months and years to come. News that Nike, AB Inbev, Trek and Radioshack were withdrawing their sponsorship of the fallen star was never going to be the end of the story. First to break cover was The Sunday Times newspaper which announced it was exploring how it would recover money paid to Armstrong over a libel dispute. The Murdoch paper ran a story accusing Armstrong of doping and was forced to pay an estimated £1m in costs.
