Adidas and Puma show they are taking their corporate social responsibility seriously in Cambodia

THE TORTUOUS journey taken by major companies in their relationship with overseas manufacturers seems to have come full circle. SportBusiness looked at Sport and Social Responsibility in a groundbreaking report published in 2010 and found most apparel manufacturers were still defensive of their operations in developing countries. Their typical response to questions of labour conditions and pay in their Asian factories was to load the blame onto local managers.
