Clydesdale stumps up five more years for Alistair Cook

CLYDESDALE BANK has renewed its contract with England One Day International cricket captain Alastair Cook until 2017.

The 27-year-old batsman will support Clydesdale Bank’s community programme by hosting junior cricket coaching sessions and will help raise awareness of its partnership with Help for Hospices.

The Bank will continue to sponsor Cook’s Gray Nicholls bat and weekly column in The Metro newspaper during the current cricket season.

Cook will also perform an integral role in promoting the Bank’s new ‘Howzat!’ campaign, which focuses on engaging cricket communities and wider sports fans.

Clydesdale Bank will continue to support English cricket through its sponsorship of the Clydesdale Bank 40, England’s most-capped cricketer, Alec Stewart, and Durham all-rounder, Paul Collingwood.
