FIFA promotes drinking at 2014 World Cup

FOOTBALLERS THE world over may be subject to strict diets and alcohol-free regimes but the same should not apply to fans according to FIFA. The world governing body for football is pushing Brazil 2014 organisers to allow alcohol into World Cup matches despite a ban in 2003 to reduce crowd violence. FIFA is under pressure as some of its best friends are drinkers – Anheuser-Busch InBev has a huge stake in being able to get its Budweiser beer brand served during the event.
