Yanmar renews backing of AFF Suzuki Cup

Japanese heavy equipment manufacturer Yanmar has extended its sponsorship of the AFF Football Championship, a national team tournament organised by the Asean Football Federation.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the agreement will cover this year’s edition of the competition from November until December in various countries across Southeast Asia.

Yanmar will remain an official sponsor of the event and benefit from brand exposure and engagement opportunities throughout the tournament, with its branding appearing on pitch-side advertising boards during all 28 matches.

The company will also be able to leverage official tournament marks across its various marketing platforms.  

The AFF Football Championship is more commonly known as the Suzuki Cup, under a title sponsorship deal with the Japanese automotive and motorcycle manufacturer. Suzuki in November extended this agreement to cover the 2018 tournament.
