World Vision teams with Harlem Globetrotters

Exhibition basketball team the Harlem Globetrotters have entered into a partnership with global Christian humanitarian organisation World Vision.

Under the agreement, World Vision becomes an official touring partner of the Globetrotters’ 2014 World Tour, which tips-off its North American leg on December 26 and will take in 300 games in more than 250 cities across 48 US states, six Canadian provinces and Puerto Rico through to April 2014.

World Vision will benefit from a presence at all these matches, while fans will have the opportunity to learn about World Vision’s work through meeting volunteers and staff, along with making a donation or sponsoring a child. Those who sponsor children will receive rewards, including merchandise and photo opportunities with Globetrotters players.

Similarly, Harlem Globetrotters stars will appear at numerous World Vision events across North America, building on a recent visit that players Special K Daley, Buckets Blakes and TNT Maddox made to World Vision communities in Honduras to witness the charity at work.
