World Archery teams up with optics firm Vanguard

World Archery has signed a partnership with optical equipment manufacturer Vanguard.

As part of the agreement, Vanguard will provide spotting scopes for televised finals at international events during the 2019 season.

Events covered by the partnership include the Archery World Cup and the World Archery Championships. Vanguard becomes the first company in the optics sector to join World Archery’s industry sponsorship programme.

During the televised finals of international events, coaches are permitted to use a spotting scope from behind their box behind the athletes. Coaches have previously used their own scopes but Vanguard will now provide two of its Endeavour HD 82A models.

The new scopes will allow microphones and cameras to be attached to each stand and it is hoped the move will enhance broadcast coverage of archery events.
