Wolfsburg to replace Adidas with Kappa

German football team VfL Wolfsburg has agreed a kit manufacturing deal with Italian sportswear brand Kappa, effective from the 2014-15 Bundesliga season.

The agreement increases Kappa’s presence in the Bundesliga, where it currently has a deal with Borussia Monchengladbach. It provided kits for Werder Bremen between 2000-09 and Borussia Dortmund from 2009-12.

Wolfsburg’s Kappa kits will be officially launched in July this year after its current agreement with Adidas comes to an end. The terms of the Kappa partnership were undisclosed.

Wolfsburg currently lies fifth in the Bundesliga table after 17 matches of the 2013-14 season.
