WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx nets jersey sponsor deal

Women’s National Basketball Association champion Minnesota Lynx has announced a multi-year jersey sponsorship agreement with non-profit medical care group Mayo Clinic.

Under the deal, the terms of which were undisclosed, Mayo Clinic also becomes the Lynx’s exclusive presenting partner for the 2014 WNBA season, which gets under way on May 16.

This collaboration is part of a previously announced strategic partnership between Minnesota Lynx and Mayo Clinic that includes the development of a new state-of-the-art training facility and sports medicine centre in Mayo Clinic Square in downtown Minneapolis.

The Lynx is one of six WNBA teams with a jersey sponsor.
