Williams F1 brings Avanade on board

Formula One motor racing team Williams has announced a multi-year partnership with business technology, cloud and managed services provider Avanade.

Under the agreement, Avanade’s logo will appear on the side pod leading edge of Williams’ race cars and team apparel from the 2015 season onwards.

Williams and Avanade will develop a suite of tools for the team’s new enterprise platform and work to enhance its future digital and cloud investments.

Claire Williams, deputy team principal and commercial director at Williams, said: “Williams has undertaken an ambitious project over the past 18 months to invest in new technologies that will help keep us at the cutting edge of motorsport and advanced engineering. With this new partnership we will be working closely with Avanade to make sure that our investments are delivering their full potential.”

Last week, Williams secured a multi-year sponsorship deal with Unilever to promote the consumer goods company’s Rexona brand.
