West Brom and Hull sign betting deals ahead of new Premier League season

English Premier League football clubs West Bromwich Albion and Hull City have agreed new sponsorship deals with betting firms TLC88.com and SBOBet ahead of the start of the season this weekend.

WBA said TLC88 has grown rapidly over the last two years and is now renowned as being one of the top online sportsbook and casino brands in Asia. TLC88 has been recruited as the club’s ‘platinum gaming partner’.

“This is a further measure of the strengthening of the global reach of West Bromwich Albion,” the club’s head of corporate sales, Iain Wain, said.

“The last four seasons, culminating in Albion’s record Barclays Premier League eighth-place finish last term has allowed the commercial team to reach out to partners such as TLC88 who focus on Asian markets.”

Online bookmaker SBOBet has been signed up as the official Asian betting partner of newly-promoted club Hull.

Last week, SBOBet penned a similar deal with fellow Premier League club Norwich City.

SBOBet executive director, Bill Mummery, said: “Asia is a very important market for the Premier League and the combined strength of our brands will undoubtedly raise the profile of the club. We shall also be looking for opportunities to work with the club in its local community.”
