Weatherman extends LPGA partnership, named official umbrella provider for 2019 Solheim Cup

Umbrella manufacturer Weatherman has been named the official umbrella provider for Team USA and Team Europe at this year’s Solheim Cup.

This year’s matchplay women’s golf team competition will be played from September 13-15 at the PGA Centenary Course in Gleneagles, Scotland.

The New York-based Weatherman has also renewed its partnership with the LPGA, having initially been named as its official umbrella in April 2018.

As part of the deal, co-branded umbrellas will be utilized by select LPGA players, rules officials, and staff during weather delays and in scorching heat during the LPGA Tour season.

Terms of both partnerships were not announced.

The company touts a product that is said to be capable of withstanding winds of up to 55 miles per hour.
