Vitality adds Chelsea to sponsorship portfolio

Health and life insurance company Vitality has entered into a partnership with English Premier League football club Chelsea.

The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, names Vitality as the official health insurance partner of the club.

As part of the agreement, Vitality members and Chelsea fans will receive access to a range of benefits and offers such as official merchandise, match tickets and match-day experiences at the club’s Stamford Bridge stadium.

Vitality will benefit from brand exposure at Stamford Bridge and Kingsmeadow, the home of Chelsea’s women’s team. Promotion will also be provided across the club’s digital and social media platforms.

VitalityHealth chief executive Neville Koopowitz said: “Vitality as a business is founded on a desire to encourage people to take positive steps to improve their health, and through collaboration with elite sporting institutions such as Chelsea FC, we believe we can inspire people from many different backgrounds and levels of fitness to make healthier lifestyle choices.

“The breadth of this partnership, including the Chelsea women’s and academy teams, is particularly exciting, as it supports our commitment to raising awareness of and participation in women’s sport, as well as amongst young people, and at grassroots level.”

Vitality is also a partner of rival London-based Premier League club Arsenal.
