Visma extends as Ski Classics title sponsor

IT services company Visma has renewed its title sponsorship of the Ski Classics series of long-distance skiing events.

The new three-year deal will run until May 2020, with the series to retain its official name of Visma Ski Classics.

Visma, which is headquartered in Norway, began its title sponsorship of the series ahead of the 2015-16 season.

Visma chief executive Øysten Moan said: “The interest in long-distance skiing is growing continuously. Last season, the audience watching the televised events almost doubled from the previous season, giving our brand a broad reach that extends beyond our core markets. We believe the continued partnership contributes to creating positive connotations between our brand, the skiers, the teams and the audience.”

The new deal has been signed ahead of the start of the 2017-18 season, which commences on November 26 with an event in Pontresina, Switzerland.
