Verizon named title sponsor of Nascar Cup Series race on IMS road course

American telecommunications giant Verizon has secured a multiyear partnership with Indianapolis Motor Speedway to become the title sponsor of the Nascar Cup Series race on the IMS road course, starting on August 15.

This year's officially-named "Verizon 200 at the Brickyard" will cap a tripleheader weekend, with Nascar's Xfinity Series and the NTT IndyCar Series running on the same course on August 14, with the Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard and Big Machine Spiked Coolers Grand Prix respectively.
