Sports equipment manufacturer Suples has entered into a partnership with United World Wrestling, the sport’s global governing body.
The deal, which names Suples a global supplier of UWW, will run until 2018 and includes the option of a two-year extension.
Suples specialises in the manufacturing of wrestling equipment and its products will be distributed internationally through its partnership with UWW.
The company will also implement the wrestling-specific Suples Training System in countries across the globe and lend its support to national governing bodies through UWW.
“Today is the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term partnership with Suples,” UWW president Nenad Lalovic said. “I’m also very proud to know that Suples is founded by a wrestler (Ivan Ivanov of Bulgaria) and excited to see how together we can help develop our sport around the world.”
