United links up with pharmaceutical company in Asia

English Premier League football club Manchester United has sealed a multi-year sponsorship deal with Korean pharmaceutical company Cho-A Pharm.

The deal covers Korea and Vietnam and will feature club imagery being placed on Cho-A Pharm’s range of products, including nutritional and dietary supplements as well as over-the-counter medicines. The length of the deal was not disclosed.

“Cho-A has impressive plans to globalise its business and a commitment to empowering aspiring footballers in the two markets through the partnership with Manchester United,” United’s group managing director, Richard Arnold, said. “With over 40 million Manchester United followers in South Korea and Vietnam, Cho-A gives us another fantastic opportunity to engage our fans in the region.”

Seong-Hwan Cho, Cho-A Pharm’s president and chief executive, added: “Cho-A is proud to be partnering with Manchester United, one of the most prestigious football clubs in the world.
