UCI goes green with Remo deal

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has signed a five-year agreement with Italian-based clothing brand Remo.

Under the deal, Remo will provide uniforms made from recycled materials for officials working at UCI events across all cycling disciplines.

Founded by former professional cyclist Martin Havik, Remo’s clothing comes with information on how much water, energy and carbon dioxide is saved by using recycled materials.

The contract spans 2013-2017 and Remo will deliver its first UCI uniforms in March 2014.
