UCI bans Russian and Belarusian teams and sponsors

The International Cycling Union (UCI) has imposed competition bans on all Russian and Belarusian national cycling teams, as well as pro cycling teams, including the UCI ProTeam Gazprom-Rusvelo.

Responding to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the UCI said in a statement that Russian and Belarusian national teams and/or national selections are “not authorised to take part in any events on the UCI International Calendar, with immediate effect.”
