Turkish Süper Lig lands title sponsor

Turkish gaming company Spor Toto has been unveiled as the title sponsor of the Süper Lig, the top division of club football in the country.

The agreement will cover the remainder of the 2017-18 season and the 2018-19 campaign. The deal also includes the First League, the second tier of Turkish football.

The deal was agreed between Spor Toto and Turkish pay-television group Digiturk, the league’s rights-holder.

Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, chair of the board of directors for Spor Toto, said: “We are very pleased to be sponsoring the name of the Süper Lig, which is the most popular sports organisation in our country in terms of audience size. With this agreement, Spor Toto Organisation (also) gives its name to the First League of Turkish football which is one of the fundamental organisations of Turkish football.”
