Turkish Airlines extends as top-tier sponsor of equestrian showpiece

Turkish Airlines has renewed its sponsorship of CHIO Aachen, an annual equestrian event held in the German city.

The new three-year deal will run until 2020. Turkish Airlines serves as a top-level sponsor of the event, the 2018 edition of which commences today (Friday) and runs until July 22.

The airline will take on naming rights to one of the event’s race days this year, and will also sponsor the Turkish Airlines-Prize of Europe award.

Michael Mronz, general manager of Aachener Reitturnier, said: “The CHIO Aachen is deeply rooted in the region with a strong international alignment. The extension of the contract with Turkish Airlines underlines the international strength of the CHIO Aachen brand.”

Turkish Airlines has sponsored the event since 2014. It is one of four top-level sponsors alongside Mercedes-Benz, DHL and Rolex.
