North American energy company TransCanada has agreed a deal with the International Triathlon Union to become the title sponsor of its 2014 World Triathlon Grand Final in Edmonton, Canada.
The sponsorship deal is worth $315,000 (€230,000).
Under the agreement, the final race on the ITU’s 2014 World Triathlon Series calendar will be known as the TransCanada Corp. World Triathlon Grand Final.
The week-long event will feature elite, age group, paratriathlon, aquathlon and junior championships. It will take place from August 26 to September 1.
