Toyota ditches Games-related ads in Japan as public support wanes

Olympic Worldwide Partner Toyota will not air commercials in Japan related to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the company has said.

According to the Reuters news agency, the shift in domestic marketing strategy also means that Akio Toyoda, chief executive officer of Toyota Motor Corp, and other executives will not attend the opening ceremony.
